The 92501 kit comes with the portable compressor, two batteries, a battery charger, the nailer/stapler, a nice shoulder/waist strap for the compressor, an air hose, a bag for the gun and 1,000 1" staples and 1,000 1 5/8" 18ga. brad nails - everything you need to put it to use right out of the box (after charging the batteries, that is). Now, the product info says it will only handle fasteners up to 1 1/2" in length, but the 1 5/8" brads it comes with work fine. Out of the box, the batteries need to be charged - the charger has a red LED indicator light that shows when the battery is charging, and also a green light to show when the battery is fully charged. In use, the compressor is louder than expected, but the amount of noise it generates is certainly not eardrum-splitting - I would rate it at about the same as a portable compressor that you would plug into the cigarette lighter on your car and use to inflate your car tires. I used the nailer to put some 1 5/8" brads in some soft and hard maple - no problems in driving the nail and setting it slightly below the surface of the workpiece. One minor issue is that the piston which drives the fastener into the workpiece leaves a bit of a depression in the workpiece - the marring is slight - this may be adjustable, but for what I use it for, it's not an issue. There is a 6-7 second delay between shots, while the compressor runs and rebuilds the compressed air. This unit is certainly not for production use, but if you have the need to drive a few brads or staples here and there and don't mind the 6-7 second delay to replenish the air supply, I don't think you could go wrong with this kit. Price paid was about ninety bucks - for that money, it's a good deal - much more than that, and I certainly would have gone with a traditional compressor and gun.

We had always thought having a nail gun around the house would be handy for jobs like trim work, repairing furniture, etc, but could never justify the cost of a compressor/nailer combo. That all ended when Amazon had this on sale for $90. We jumped on this deal, and have no regrets whatsoever. Don't expect this to be a powerful, contractor grade tool. Instead, this is designed for your average homeowner for the occassional job that always seems to comes up. We trimmed out one of our rooms in no time when before it took a while with the ole' hammer and nails. This unit comes with two rechargeable 12V batteries so you are ready to keep on firing when the other starts to wear down. Also included are packs of nails and staples so you can get started right away and not have to go out to purchase anything. Highly recommended. Very happy with our purchase.

Palmgren products are high quality and this kit is no exception. Nice design... works as indicated. Have just shot 60 staples that came with it on one battery charge with no problem... no jams. Both units are smooth operating. Sound from compressor is not bad and it builds pressure quickly. This is the perfect combo product for home owners who have small jobs fromm time to time. Highly recommended
