Great full head nail gun. Powerful and lightweight. Well designed handle and depth control. Very few misfeeds. Seems reliable and well made.

I am a general contractor in Florida. The building code in Florida due to the hurricanes is among the strictest in the country. As an example, we nail the sheathing to the trusses every four inches on the edges and six inches elsewhere. Many times the nailing is closer to pacify the inspectors. We literally use thousands of nails in every house. My guys joke, if the house falls during the next hurricane it will be because of the weight of the nails. We rely on nail guns to maintain production requirements in this demanding environment. We have used several, but one nail gun stands alone. The Max nailers are superior. Their performance is so superior they really do not have any competition. This is truly a remarkable nailer in terms of power, longevity and speed.

Max, without question, makes the best nailers on the market, and the full round head SuperFramer is one of the best-known, most widely-used models. Jams are rare, but easily cleared by opening the nose door. The air exhaust port on top is easily rotated, and very nice to have when using the nailer in an oddball position - nice to not get a blast in the face or ears, unlike other guns. The air line quick detach fitting swivels and is high-quality, and the gun self-clears any debris when you uncouple the air line. I also like the safety features on this gun, and that you don't have to buy any extra parts to change from trigger to bump fire. I use mine on 90 PSI most of the time, adjusting depth on the gun. It works over a wide range of nail sizes and materials. Best quality and highly recommended.

I build barns in N. Idaho. I have two of these guns that are about 5 years old now. Both have been in the shop for repairs, one for o-ring that split and one for a shattered driver. My guys use these as hammers and rarely oil them to be honest. All of my tools make their way into the shop after we work them. Trust me, there isn't a tool out there we haven't worked to the point of failure. I also have a paslode, a hitachi, and a porter-cable(all 20 degree full-round head nailers)
br /These Max nailers are the most consistent of all my nailers. They are always the first out of the job trailer by choice and drive nails better than any Ive ever used. I drive nails into glue lam. beams and through metal tack plating on trusses among other hard materials. Honestly my max nailer will drive a nail deaper than any other nailer i have ever used. It will drive a nail through a 2x if you want to adjust it that way. I also have a "nipple" that attaches to the tip of the driver to guide 1 1/2" nails into hangers.
br /It's a bit heavy, but so is a Cadillac you know what i mean.
br /Just so you know; the paslode air nailer is the next choice, then a toss between the hitachi and the porter-cable.

I did fire already over 120 000 nails in two weeks /no mistake, I did order a pallet for recent job/ and I hade about four or five times "jammed" nail, but it did not take more then a 30 seconds to clear it out.
br /No miss fires other then - stuck excess of plastic from previous nail load, one miss fire, then O.K. ..... but that is not a problem of the gun but the mails....
br /
br /I am mainly using nails 75 millimeters long /2,9 inch/ ,they are ring shank, the entire length, into 3 layers by 23 millimeters thick/0,9 inch/ of sitka spruce , lots and lots of nuts. Great strong gun, very nice balanced. This is my second Max framing gun /need more then one/ and soon I will be buying another.
br /I did use same brand gun for framing on 3 homes in past, no problems at all. Well, just one. Does not want to fire with out me....
