Thanks for your feedback
I recently used one of these kits to refurbish my Porter Cable angle finish nailer. The kit included a newer type of trigger module which didn't work for my gun, but I was able to figure out how to transfer the wear parts from the new module to the one off my unit. Porter Cable made no mention of the different versions and the instructions said nothing about how to do what I did. Lucky for me I've been fixing things for most of my 40 plus years on this earth, but for someone less used to figuring things out it would have been a big problem.

br /The instructions for refurbishing the main cylinder area were likewise minimal at best. I've seen better how-to instructions with cheap knock down furniture sets.

br /That said, the gun once again works like new and doesn't have the annoying air leak it had developed. My nail gun is used in a home shop, and honestly I was surprised that it needed to be serviced after relatively little use. Granted it was about six years old, but a professional trim carpenter would put as much use on a tool in two weeks as that gun has had. This is consistent with my experience with other Porter Cable tools as well. They simply don't seem to have the longevity of other professional grade brands.
