I got this nailer with the super saver free shipping for a total price of $39.99. The estimated ship date was August 26 and I received it on the 17th (within 5 days of the order)! Excellent!!!!!
br /
br /I compared this to other nailers before ordering. All other brands were between $69 and $199 for a tool that does no more and no less then this nailer. I was thinking I was getting a CHEAP knock-off type tool after I ordered it. Was I wrong!!
br /
br /This nailer was packaged perfectly with everything in place and nothing damaged or marred. I gave the instructions a quick read, loaded the nailer and plugged into the air compressor.
br /
br /This nailer fired beautifully everytime and even multiple times. I had to adjust the pressure to about 90-95 psi (didn't even bother with the regulator on the gun) and test fired a few nails on scrap, There was no denting or marring on the wood and the nails seated perfectly just below the surface of the wood. NO JAMS!!! Even when I accidently fired 3 times in a row, every nail hit without fail or jamming!!! The exhaust is directional so there are no problems there and there is no worry about recoil or bounce when fired!
br /
br /I only do part time remodeling, furniture building and the like around my house. However, if you want a great nailer for not a lot of money, this is the one!!
br /
br /I rated this a 5 because it comes perfectly packaged in its own case including an extra no-mar tip, 1000 2" brads, instructions and the air adapter. It was also boxed with bubble wrap for extra protection and there was not even a smudge on any part of the case or tool!!!
br /
br /It is easy to use, easy to adjust, and fits perfectly in my hand just like the more expensive brands I looked at. Buying this saved me enough money to put towards my new planer. I am sure I will get years of use out of this before it gives out. I plan on building quite a few cedar beds with this and remodeling a 2600 square foot house.
br /
br /If it breaks I will be back to tell you. But after this review I doubt you will be hearing from me since I am confident that I got an exceptional product at an exceptional price!!
br /
br /THANX AMAZON!!! You did it again!!

it is just what everyone is saying

this unit is great. solidly built, no oil needed, pressure/depth control, adjustable exhaust port, and a function to shoot nails at low speed at the dog or the kids. - disquised as a jam remover. you will accidently release this and it will be surprising, but no harm done.
br /AND for the price you cannot go wrong. I have no experience with any other nailer, but this does exactly what I wanted it to do and what it is advertised to do.
br /Have not used it long enough to rate longevity or jam freedom.

A sad, sad piece of equipment

very cheap version of a porter cable by Campbell Hausfield. I had one day's experience with it. I would like to have had more but it could not handle nailing 1/4" panel board up and broke about 4 hours into the project. From the beginning it misfired like crazy.
br /
br /I sent it back and got a porter cable. More money but the job is done and it's ready for the next.
br /
br /I've had trouble with other Campbell Hausfield products before with the exception of the cast iron compressors. they are great

A strong four stars

This nailer is made by Campbell-Hausfeld and as far as I can tell it is the EXACT same nailer as the Campbell Hausfeld CHN10299 2" brad nailer.
br /
br /Though this is the first air nailer I ever owned, I have used several others, including some much more expensive models (also, I do have a 16 gauge Porter Cable "Bammer" finish nailer). After reading up on what features to look for in an air nailer, I chose this model.
br /
br /It uses very little air, which is good because I only have a small compressor. It also has a directional exhaust to keep the air blasts out of your face and a padded tip to avoid marring the workpiece. The grips are very comfortable. I found that setting the nail depth was easy and accurate, as was loading the nails into the magazine. The heft and feel of this nailer is that of a good quality tool. Though I probably don't need to use 2" brads on most of my projects, it is good to have that option if and when I need it.
br /
br /Basically, the only complaint I had was that the little bottle of oil that was included with this kit had a cracked cap, which allowed some oil to leak out in the case during shipment. Otherwise, this is a very solid brad nailer at a great price. I highly recommend it!

I ordered this gun to make some detail repairs that I knew would get botched with a hammer and finish nails. The gun arrived quickly in a nice case with good instructions for use. The repairs were a breeze and the finished work was very pleasing.
br /
br /The gun feels substantial and well made, and performs in like fashion. To this point I've had no jams or other problems with the gun, and I've been completely satisfied. I just wish they made a framing nailer!

The first one of these I received fired three nails, then jammed fatally and would not fire another at all. Amazon sent a quick replacement. This one functions, but almost never sets the nail head below the surface...even at the max pressure of 100psi. If all you'll ever shoot are 1" or shorter brads, this may be an inexpensive way to do so. But if you want a nailer that works the way it's intended, look elsewhere.

Works good when it works.

I'm a bit disappointed in this tool. I bought it for installing tongue and groove car siding, to the ceiling in our rec room. Thankfully, it worked good thru that project. However, I've used it only a couple times since then, maybe a total of 2000 nails thru it, and it already started malfunctioning. Of course, it was out of warranty by then. I had to call the comapany and order a replacement part. At least they were helpful and shipping was fast. The part wasn't too expensive either. I don't think I'd order this brand again. However, it was still cheaper than renting one.
