A great finish nailer!

My favorite thing about this nailer so far is that it's so light. You won't get tired from using this thing. It's also very sturdy and seems very well made. Insertion of nails is simple and effortless. I also really like that my little air compressor runs this nailer just fine. I was initially concerned that it had no safety, but the nailer is designed to not fire unless it's pressed against the board. (This is probably normal for nailers, but this is my first!) It's also a nice touch that it comes with a supply of 2" nails. This thing was ready to go out of the box.

I have had time now to use this finish nailer and I have to say it works flawlessly. The depth control works very well and I have ran a box of 1000 nails through it without one jam. I would recommend this nailer to anyone, a great product, light and strong.

Light weight and a great performer

This is my first nailer purchase, though not my first experience with a nailer. The first thing that I noticed upon opening the box is that this tool is a quality product! All the parts and pieces fit wonderfully. The magnesium body makes this a very light weight tool which I can really appreciate. There's no need to oil the tool either, so maintenance is virtually non-existent. The magazine is very easy to load, and you can see how full it is while in operation. The nailer comes pre-fitted with a quarter-inch air connector (many are not, which means a trip to the hardware store just to make those other nailers complete). Two really nice touches that make this nailer stand out from many...it comes with a supply of nails (no need to order 4000 nails, just to begin your first job) and it includes a great plastic case for the tool, with room to hold a supply of nails. I don't think I could be happier with a finish nailer!

Nice nailer, but....

This is a nice nailer and it is well made. I would agree with almost everything said about it in the other reviews. There is one exception that I thought I would bring to the attention of potential buyers. Specifically it is the nail carrier rail. It is hard to load and even harder to unload. Once loaded, there is no way to know what size nails are in the unit from the last time it was used. In contrast, with the DeWalt Nailers both of these things are not an issue.

Sturdy Construction

After having used the nailer quite a bit, not too many complaints. I average about one double fire every 1,000 nails. Depth adjustment works fairly well. The hammer does damage a most name brand brad heads on contact, making pretty sparks and occasional shrapnel, even when running on low air pressure.

br /The construction itself is very nice. A heavy weight shell and grip that don't feel even the least bit cheap. The case, however, is your average plastic air-blown case which is quite cheap compared to other brands like Dewalt and Rigid nailers. It is a universal case that Bostitch uses for multiple nailers and because of that, the FN16250K does not fit perfectly if attempting to store other items alongside the nailer.

br /In the event I purchase another 16 gauge nailer, I would not select this gun but it is a good quality tool that I could feel comfortable recommending to others.
