I have had framing guns from Bostich , Senco and Hitachi. This is my favorite so far. I still Have the Hitachi. Earlier this year I needed an O ring for it . No one locally carried the part ,so I ordered it. In the mean time I had to get another gun. Tools of the trade rated the Paslode #1 in Two different tests. One last year and another one recently. I already buy the nails it uses for my impulse gun . It seemed to be a good choice so I thought I would try it out. I am very well pleased. It is a well made tool. Very solidly built and it performs flawlessly. It has more power than I expected (always a plus). You will appreciate the rubber grip and the adjustable exhaust as much as I do. Add the easy depth of drive adjustment and you have the best nailer on the market. An added bonus is the nails it uses. They are collated with glue and paper. This combo is the best I have seen . Drop them get them wet , whatever it won't matter. They stay intact , unlike the other gun nails that use paper , plastic or wire collation. They are very tough and that is very good for us. If you can use clipped head nails in your area don't waste time on another nailer. Buy a Paslode.

I've always liked Paslode air tools

When I started framing we had an older silver looking Paslode gun that felt like it weighed a ton (chuckle), and a brand new one that felt like you were using a finish nailer (it was light in comparison). Both guns shot nails extremely well. In fact, they were more dependable than the other brands that were available on the jobsite (Hitachi Senco).pSince somebody decided to liberate me from my Porter-Cable FC-350, I decided to go back to my beginnings and purchased this Paslode gun. I do not feel that my choice was flawed at all.pYou've got to make sure that your pressure and the depth adjustment are in tandem or you will have overdrives or stand-offs. This is the case with any nail gun though.pI'd always recommend Paslode guns to anyone who would ask. Besides, I'd rather use paper collated nails too.

This was my first framing nailer, and I lucked out with a good one. It can get right between studs on a 16" OC. I have never had a problem with it. The gun is powerful -no problems sinking nails. - Comfortable and well balanced. It is a little loud and has some recoil, although not as much as my full-head nailor. No jams so far. The light weight won't wear you out either. I don't think you can go wrong with this gun.

I BOUGHT THE PASLODE POWERMASTER PLUS WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT IN THE FALL OF 1997 AND HAVEN'T BEEN DISAPPOINTED SINCE. THIS GUN IS VERY VERSATILE AND THE LIGHT WEIGHT MAKES IT A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. YOU CAN USE IT FOR FRAMING, DECKS, SUBFLOOR AND ROOF SHEETING WITH EASE. IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF A FRAMING GUN THAT IS COMPRESSOR POWERED THIS ONE IS BY FAR YOUR BEST BET, YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE EITHER. GO OUT AND BUILD SOMETHING WITH ONE!!

My company builds several houses each year and many decks each spring and summer so I work my framing gun hard. This is the third brand of nailer I have owned and with this one I finally got it right. I almost bought this one last time I purchased a gun and always wished I had. The guys I worked alongside all winter long in extreme conditions had paslodes and they worked in the cold and sand while my dewalt needed new o-rings twice. I have always enjoyed the balance and low recoil of this gun and it toenails better than any other gun. Now that they added the wonderful rafter hook, this gun is priceless, and it is the least expensive on the market. Paslode also makes a roundhead nail for this gun for those of you in areas where code requires that. What a winner. 5 stars for sure.

The Paslode framing nailer has plenty of power when running 90 psi. The weight and balance make it easy to use for big framing jobs. The steel magazine is strong and durable. This is the second paslode framer of this model I have used. The nailer has a tendency to misfire (doesn't shoot a nail) when there is some dust accumulation in the magazine track. Due to its lack of tolerance for dust, I gave it a 4 star rating.

This has to be the best air nailer on the market. Ease of use, consistant drive depth, lay out makings on nail rail. Also it can use clip head or round head nails, so you have a few more options when you are purschasing nails. You are not locked in to one brands nails and price. This is by far the best gun I have ever used. It was recommended to me by a friend who has been a proffessional frammer for over 25 years. I am glad that I took his advice

in my opinion this nail gun is not the worst on the market does an average job of driving nails. be sure to watch the depth adjustment on the end. The depth adjustment has a tendency to work loose, and over time the tightening screw will break off.

I thought it was important to mention this nailer can accept round head nails (Paslode Roundrive 30 degree fasteners). After researching different nailers, I came across the issue of building codes in different parts of the country either not allowing clipped head nails, or trending in that direction. Not being a professional, I don't know if this is old news, as I didn't notice any clipped head nails in stock at Lowe's in Charleston, SC. I didn't look too hard though. I also didn't find any 22 degree Porter Cable nails for the FR350A. If they had them, they didn't have many.
br /
br /Anyway, I had my mind made up to buy the PC FR350A even though I didn't like the plastic collated nails always considered the Paslode to be about the best, but when I saw the Paslode could use the round nails (found in abundance at Lowe's) I spent the extra money on it. I've used an old beat up one before, working with a contractor, and it was rugged and reliable. I just wish it had some of the features of the less expensive Porter Cable, such as the carrying case, tool-free adjustable exhaust and tool-free adjustable depth of drive.

...after some research i chose the powermaster 350. i didnt take long to realize i got the one for me. it is light and packs some punch. another nice thing is its compactness. makes manuevering for toenails and such very easy. i recommend getting the sequential trigger from paslode(one nail per pull of the trigger)... maybe it is a personal peeve, but i hate bump fire guns. too dangerous. but, i should say, i used mine as a bump fire(until the new trigger came in) and honestly, i thought it had more control than any other i had used. no double fires. either way, i think this is the best gun on the market. period. give it try, you wont be dissapointed

I picked up a gently used F350S at the framing contractor supply store (not a pawn shop). I still have my NR83A Hitachi as well.
br /The depth setting does take a few test shots to ensure that the nailheads are seated appropriately, though I could probably scratch a mark on the safety to indicate the flush setting.
br /The newer models of this nailer come with a small rafter hanger included. Mine did not have this feature and I am more accustomed to the L-bracket of aluminum that hangs on the air nipple at the back of the nailer.
br /A very light and well-balanced piece of equipment.

I work a lot in construction and I used many types of nailer guns. I think that the Paslode F350S is the best you can buy today. It's really easy to work with.

This was my first framing nail gun, and a good one. It feels a little heavy but not that bad. I have never had a problem with it. The gun is powerful and a little loud. It will easily sink nails. Have not had any jams so far. It's very easy and fast to load. I'm very pleased with the gun. Wish it came with a case.

I just finished my first day with this wonderful framing nailer. It easily doubled my output, erecting a self-designed shed about a third of the way in less than four hours. (Ten years ago I did all the work with a hammer. That was insane.) The price on Amazon, together with free shipping no tax, made it a killer deal. Plus, my Paslode made it into my hot little hands in about seven days.
br /
br /Others wrote excellent technical reviews and said nice things, so I won't repeat those here. I did discover the depth-of-drive adjustment works for fine tuning, but found you can alter this dramatically by running 100 psi (the upper end of the range), instead of around 80 psi (the lower end). Remember this when driving into 6-by's or larger with 3 and a half inch nails. Most experienced construction guys probably know this, but a neophyte like me found out by trial-and-error. They do not give you this hint in the literature.
br /
br /Anyhow, awesome tool that I'm sure my wife will find me numerous projects to use it on. Buy with confidence.

I work on a framing crew of a couple guys. We have tried several different brands of nail guns- hitachi, dewalt, and others, but this has been the gun we all agree is the best. Some brands may be slightly lighter, but with the rafter hook, round head capacity and power that this has it's a winner. We push our tools, and other brands couldn't take it- my gun has been going 3 1/2 years, and aside from from a few minor repairs it has run well.

This was the first nailer that I ever purchased. Now that I have it I would hate to lose it. It has worked perfectly everytime I have used it. I have never used a Senco framer but as well as this one works I don't see a reason to need to try any other brand.

The Paslode 501000 is very comfortable and light weight. I have been using my nailer to install siding on my house. After 2000+ nails, it has never jammed. The ability to set the depth is nice. However, I would improve it be creating a "quick set" adjustment. It takes to much time to set the depth setting. I am glad I purchased it!

I purchased this air nailer several months ago but only in the last 2 weeks have I put it through its paces by building a 30X14 boat shed. I went through several boxes of nails without a jam. The gun is well made and easy to use. Double firing is not problem and in those areas where I had to really reach out I installed the single shot trigger in a few seconds and went about my business. The company sends the single fire trigger free when you return a card included in the box. Reloading is a dream and the nailer fits the hand very well. I have only 2 complaints: One, the gun is louder than I expected it would be and is louder than most other brands I have used. Two, I emailed the factory with a question and apparently they have better things to do than email a customer back because I never heard back from them . . . very poor public relations I think. Overall, a well made air nailer.

I purchased one of these nailers last summer for a framing job. It operated flawlessly for the whole summer, and continues to do so this year. It is very light, and as a result of good design, can be used in relatively tight quarters. I like mine, and would recommend it to any experienced carpenter.pHandy Dan

Yes you can get round drive heads, which is more appealing to the eye. brYes you have to pull the wrench out to change the depth, however I do not have to do that too often, it is not a bother to me.pI have the Impulse Framer (The new orange one not the old black one) as well, I much prefer the pneumatic.pWhy have a cordless chop saw right next to your plug in table saw? Cords and hoses are a part of the jobsight. brImpulse' days are coming, but not for anytime soon.
